It’s been 5 years of this amazing place we call Beautistry.
When Beautistry first came to be, it was a dream I had to share my knowledge with others. I had spent time as an employee, an independent stylist, and a rental salon owner, and then I decided to take the leap and open a unique commission salon focused on building stylists up and helping them craft their days in a way that supported them best.
We did things unconventionally, and the main mission was simple: create a safe space to work that fostered awesome hair and a good time while creating it.
We grew rapidly to a team of 9 stylists sharing 5 stations, one salon manager, and many, many good times. Eventually, we expanded to more than double the size and became an 11-chair salon. We rocked that through ups and downs, adaptations and pivots, and eventually moved over to our newer side, saying goodbye to those iconic big windows to the east and settling into 8 chairs.
Our team has ebbed and flowed, but the mission always remained the same. Wild accomplishments, stylists going viral, in-house education, travel, quiet times, exciting times, and everything in between. We had it all. ❤️🔥
Nostalgia is a funny thing, because it’s both happy and sad.
And so is this news.
But for us, a new season is just about to start.
Each of us is continuing on to somewhere new. Of course, this is not without sadness, but that’s just half of nostalgia. We’ll be able to look back at our time together with misty eyes and smiles on our faces, because it was time well spent.
Our clients, each other, all of the relationships we’ve gotten to develop and foster, and all of our memories… they’ll hang on our hearts forever.
